An Opinion On “Penn Jillette: How Politics Is Like Magic”
Love Penn…fellow atheist and rational thinker. I dream of a day when politicians fear the electorate. The problem is US though…we are on the whole too sheepish to actually take that control. This has been the trouble of the masses throughout history. And no…the Tea Party is not the answer here…their eyes are still shut, but in a more troublesome way. The only credit I give the Tea Party is that we have the idea now that a strong multi-party system is an option. We need a serious choice though. Something more broadly down the middle. I would love advice to see a candidate run that does NOT EVER declare a party affiliation. Just run on issues and let us figure out the rest.
